La Lima Free Zone & Business Park is delighted to share this opening ceremony with COLOPLAST. It is a company that is headquartered in Denmark and focused in the design and manufacturing of medical devices for the Ostomy and Wound Care products. The company has 12,500 employees in 41 countries. The operation in Costa Rica is one of the 8 manufacturing plants around the globe that manufactures yearly 1.200 millions of products to supply the demand of 140 markets.

"The inauguration is proof of the trust that a global leader from the MEDTECH industry such as Coloplast has placed in the quality, competitiveness and high standards that are provided not only by La Lima Free Zone but also by the Costa Rican talent. Coloplast estimates to generate over 700 jobs in the following years, and this will add to the almost 4,000 employees that currently are working at the park and the new 1,000 jobs that will be created at the park by the establishment of 5 new companies", highlighted Fernando Carazo, General Manager, La Lima Free Zone Park.
